The Truth!
Don’t you hate it when people twist a story around to make things more dramatic? I do! This seems to happen a lot in my family. An instance of this happened just yesterday. My great grandmother, who is ninety three, passed out yesterday and was taken to the emergency room, but it was not a big deal. They ran a couple of tests on her but could not find anything, so they emitted her into a hospital room to run some more tests. A couple of hours later, my mother received a phone call from one of my cousins saying that someone had called her and said that my great grandma had had a heart attack! Wow! This was so farfetched from the truth. Why would somebody strike up the nerve to make up something like that? This is a much bigger situation than the occasional family gathering where the old people gather around and discuss what they used to do “back in the day.” Where the story goes through some huge plot and ends with a hilarious conclusion that you find yourself laughing about for a couple of minutes. If you cannot tell by now, I am really kind of pissed about the whole situation. I almost got highly dramatic about a something that did not even happen. So, I guess the moral of this little story would be not to believe everything you hear. If you do not hear it straight from the source, there is a possibility that it is not true!
